Teens’ Top Ten Nominee for 2008: Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer

Eclipse is the third installment in the vastly popular vampire love saga that began with Twilight. At the end of book two, New Moon, we leave the klutzy human Bella Swan and the “vegetarian” vampire Edward Cullen thrilled to be reunited after a turbulent point in their relationship. As graduation looms in the near future, they spend every possible moment together — when Bella is not hanging out in La Push with her werewolf friends, that is. Her attempts to reconcile her two lives, as friend and lover, and the seemingly random killings in Seattle all culminate in a battle for everyone’s lives. On top of all this, Bella has a decision to make: mortality or immortality?

Eclipse is a nominee for the 2008 Teens’ Top Ten. To read more about the Teens’ Top Ten program, click here. To request this book from the library, click here. And don’t forget to place your vote during Teen Read Week, October 12-18, 2008.
