New Books for Teens 2/25/2010

More fun stuff in today:

Heist Society by Ally Carter–The author who brought you the Gallagher girls series has written a caper novel.  Katarina Bishop has been helping her parents pull off heists since she was three, but she has left that life behind.  Until, that is, her father gets blamed for a job he didn’t do.  Now Katarina has to find the real thief and clear her father’s name.

The Smart Aleck’s Guide to American History by Adam Selzer–A fun way to learn about history, including a pneumonic device to memorize the Presidents’ names.

Spies of Mississippi: The True Story of the Spy Network that Tried to Destroy the Civil Rights Movement by Rick Bowers

Token of Darkness by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes–Cooper Blake awakes from a car accident with a beautiful, dead girl by his side.  Two schoolmates who know about Samantha’s presence aren’t so sure she is a force for good.

Hungry: A Young Model’s Story of Appetite, Ambition, and the Ultimate Embrace of Curves by Crystal Renn with Marjorie Ingall–The biography of Crystal Renn, a model who starved herself to be thin enough, and then was brave enough to become a successful plus-sized model (at size 12, plus size indeed!).  Her story will inspire teen girls to see beauty in all sizes.

Token Of Darkness was a really fun read. It’s a solid book by Amelia =] I really love her writing style. Like I’ve said in many places, I love how it was a NaNo novel 😀
