Finally, spring is here, and with summer drawing closer and closer, it’s time to begin the search for the perfect summer handbag. The dark colors and heavy metals of winter and fall purses might not work too well for summer, so I went ahead and started hunting down some of the newest trends for this season. To me, it seems a bit pointless to go out and buy five different designer handbags each season (each costing around 200 dollars), so I found some better priced alternatives to some of the newest styles. I hope you guys enjoy this!
Designer Handbag – Kate Spade New York Jane Street Kip Calfskin Wallet/Shoulder Bag in Fuschia
This bag is perfect for this season in many ways, with the wallet and shoulder bag combined for convenience and the bright pink color for the spring, but it costs 195 dollars.
Duplicate Handbag – Nine West Barbe Zip Around Clutch in Pink
However, if you do not want to spend this much money on a small handbag, you can get a very similar clutch for only 30 dollars. Priced at $29.99, this adorable clutch is similar in many ways to the Kate Spade handbag. The clutch is small and bright with a floral interior (perfect for spring and summer). With a 165 dollar difference, you make the decision.
Designer Handbag(s) – Cole Haan Village Metallic Leather Crossbody Bag in Silver and Kate Spade New York Darien Jan Leather Crossbody Bag
The Cole Haan handbag (priced at $178) is perfect for spring with the metallic leather and outside pockets for your cell phone and keys. The color goes well with many spring and summer jewelry items, but if you choose to wear gold, the Kate Spade bag (priced at $195) is a great option as well. It has only one outside pocket, but it has interior pockets designed for the phone and keys.
Duplicate Handbag – IZOOM Crossbody in Yellow
If you don’t want to spend over a hundred and fifty dollars on a crossbody, then this Nine West IZOOM Crossbody is a great option as well. Priced at just $39.99, it also has a metallic finish with outside pockets for your phone and keys. The only downside – it only comes in black, bronze, and gold (no silver). This bag is a great option for this season for these reasons, and it has a bright interior lining. This bag seems like a great purchase, and it is $155 dollars cheaper than the Kate Spade crossbody!
Designer Handbag – Coach Kristin Embossed Exotic Zip Top Tote in Sage
http://www.coach.com/online/handbags/-handbags_silhouettes_totes-10551-10051-5000000000000015036-en?t1Id=62&t2Id=5000000000000015036&tier=2 (click on the purse in the “Kristin” section.)
This tote is a gorgeous tote with gold metal and green leather complementing each other. The tote has an outside pocket for your phone and keys, as well as anything you might want to keep nearby. The tote is a great spring or summer bag to carry everything since it is so large. It closes with a zip top to make sure that your items are secure. The soft color is also great for the season. The reason not to buy it – the price. It costs $1,000.00! One thousand dollars for a carryall tote. This seems a little bit ridiculous to me, so I found another tote with a similar design, but very different price.
Duplicate Handbag – Hollywood Intuition Tote in White
This tote is a very large carryall tote with a bright pattern on the inside of sunglasses/pens/jewelry/etc. It has a bright white color, so it is a perfect color for the season. It has two different kinds of shoulder handles, so you can choose how you carry it. It has outside pockets with a design that is very similar to the Coach handbag, but has one major difference. Once again – the price. Priced at $29.99, you could save $970 dollars by buying this bag instead of the Coach one! Nine hundred and seventy dollars!
I hope that these designer duplicates will help you find the perfect spring handbag!:)
Now, if you find a designer bag that you absolutely adore(but is a little overpriced), there are a few tips to know if you should buy it. 1-Ask yourself if you will really wear it. Maybe you will like the purse in the store, but not on the street. Also ask yourself if it will go with your wardrobe. For example, buying an expensive yellow purse might not be a good idea if you only own one yellow item. It’s always a better idea to spend your money on something that you know you will wear often. 2-Ask yourself to see if you have earned it. Buying designer purses for no reason leads to too many costly purchases. A reason to buy spring and summer purses is because school is ending, so if you feel like you earned it, you have a good reason to get the purse. 3-Ask yourself how much you love it. Is it really worth the money? If you have the time, try to continue looking around in case you find a better priced purse or a purse that you love even more. Then, if you don’t find anything, come back to the store and see if you still like the purse as much as you did the first time. Once the excitement has worn off, you will know if you truly like the purse or not. I hope these tips help you in picking out the perfect handbag!:)
