The Giver is a great book for almost anyone 10 and older. I actually read the book 2 times and I found it interesting both times.
HOW WAS IT??
This book was a very good read. I really liked it and would recommend it to
anyone who likes mysterious, sad, happy, or even just plain old novels.
WHAT WAS IT ABOUT??
The Giver was about a boy who’s life was run a little bit different than mine or
probably yours. He lived in what was called a “family unit” with one sister, one mom, and one dad.
And at the end of every year all the kids get promoted up to a higher grade, but when you get to a certain age you have to be promoted up to a job that has been chosen for you. (I know this may sound confusing but it is said much better in the book.) When it was the boy’s turn he ended up getting the most important job in the community……
IS IT KID FRIENDLY??
I would recommend it for ages 10+
