Matched by Ally Condie is one of the Teens’ Top Ten Nominations for 2011.

Imagine living in a world where the government chooses everything for you: where you live, where you work, even who you marry.  Cassia has always trusted the Society and the choices they make for her.  On her 17th birthday, Cassia anxiously prepares for her Match ceremony.  Everything is perfect, including her match.  She is paired with her best friend, Xander, and she prepares for the life they will lead.  That is, until she sees Ky’s face appears on her match disc.  Suddenly, all the faith Cassia has in the Society begins to falter.  Is it possible that the Society is wrong?

I really enjoyed this book. A slightly less scarier and more romantic take on books like Brave New World and 1984.
