This week its Poem and Quotes week where there’s a week filled with quotes and poems from every author, poet, and actor you can think of. You may even learn a few things.

Dreams by Langston Hughes

Hold fast to dream, for if dreams die, Life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, Life is a barren field, frozen with snow.

Poet of the day: Edgar Allen Poe

Edgar Allen Poe is great for intermediate and advanced readers. There is a lot of emotion put it into the poems and its wonderfully written. A few of my favorite are Annabel Lee and The Raven.
