Wrestle Mania Reading Challenge

September 20, 2010

Do you like wrestling?  Are you a fan of the WWE?  We want to see you on the mat as part of the Wrestle Mania Reading Challenge! This program is sponsored by World Wrestling Entertainment and the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). Teens can compete to earn prizes, including a trip to WrestleMania, and money for their library.

Pre-teens and teens in grades 5-12 can sign up to read five books by April 2011.  Participants are also asked to complete an art project that will be mailed to the YALSA office to be judged against other teens in the country.  You could win wrestling trading cards, Coldstone creamery gift cards, or even a trip to Atlanta to see Wrestle Mania XXVII live!

Pick up your packet at Eva Perry Library in Apex, Green Road Library in Raleigh, Holly Springs Library, or Wendell Library.

Teen Read Week is held annually during the third week of October, and YALSA’s WrestleMania Reading Challenge runs from now through October 25, 2010. To find out more about the WrestleMania Reading Challenge contact Lindsey Dunn at lindsey.dunn@wakegov.com
